The first thing you need to understand as you search for the true meaning of life is that God loves you; He wants to have a personal relationship with you.  In fact, of all religions, only Christianity has the answer to how one can have this personal relationship. Jesus said, "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock.  If anyone opens the door, I will come in and eat with him (have a relationship) and he with Me."  It's God's desire that you have abundant life here and now, and when this life is over, eternal life with Him for all eternity.
